Most problems I read can be solved with a simple “suck it up.” There are exceptions, of course (matters of propriety, spiritual dilemmas, or anything requiring expert or technical advice), but most people simply are faced with a difficult situation that they need to face, and they somehow feel more prepared to face that problem by getting it published in a newspaper. It’s always pretty entertaining though, which I suppose is the point for advice columns in the first place.
Cutting taxes is always a good idea, unless you can’t stop spending (Bush-era Republicans, I’m looking at you). Not that Democrats have any room to speak. Your president spent three trillion dollars in less than two years, and we’re still at close to 10% unemployment.
