Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS)

While Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) flare-ups have died down some in the last couple of years, Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS) has reached epidemic proportions, and apparently extends to her entire family.

I’ve never watched Dancing With the Stars, except once for a few minutes to enjoy the novelty of seeing Warren Sapp on stage. My family was more of an American Idol kind of family (at least until Simon left). But let me tell you, I’m considering watching the finals on the off chance that Bristol Palin manages to win it. I don’t even care how good of a dancer she is, I just want to see the left go nuts. The reaction from liberals to Bristol’s success on the show has been hilarious, to the point where Big Hollywood is offering its first ever endorsement.

The irony to all of this outrage is that it only makes the Palins stronger. After all, it’s hard to come across as the level-headed alternative to the proclaimed Palin brand of ignorance and stupidity when your people shoot their televisions and send envelopes of white powder to the show. And why? Because Bristol is the daughter of the ex-governor from Alaska.

If the left wanted to slow down Sarah Palin, they would ignore her and her family. The constant drumbeat of vitriol sounds increasingly hysterical, especially because Sarah Palin isn’t even in office setting policy. In fact, Sarah Palin isn’t doing anything right now other than being Sarah Palin. For the left, I guess that’s enough!

I probably won’t post anything new until next Monday, since the IDS won’t print until then. In the meantime, I hope everyone enjoys their holiday!
